Anyone know of a recall on this? I tried to purchase at HD and was denied.

I did a quick google search and could not find anything. I just purchased this a couple of weeks ago.i am thinking a computer glitch, oh well, I will have to finish this job next week.

Those have been recalled in the past. They were good about covering labor too. We use the photoelectric version of that. I prefer the BRK version. I can only find one recall on their site, and its not the model we're looking at.

Same thing happened up here. Couldn't buy it at check out because it had a recall. Don't know why they don't take them off the shelf.

Same here, they finally took them off the shelf. I could not find any info on them either? Wondering about the ones we already installed....anyone know how far the recall goes back?

That explains why they were all pulled off the shelf at the HD's I go to.

The CPSC shows recalls on Kidde but none are very recent.
