Replace the lights with another type. Some electronic ballast are making the Arcs trip.

I will try that. We have LED a19s in now but i think we replaced regular bulbs that were still causing it to trip. Its just a basic sconce also if that matters.

Sue the manufacturer for damages. That is going to end up being the only way to get them to adjust their units to work with all the common electronics available to the public.

Take the neutral and ground for the circuit loose at the panel and check for continuity between them.

The second light is adding enough load to trip it. The AFCI may not trip without enough load. Do the continuity test to see.

I ran into this years ago when they first came out, before the great State of Indiana stopped requiring them. 6 smoke detectors on the circuit would not trip it, but add #7 and bam. A ground was touching a neutral in a recep.

Where I'm at we only use ARC FAULT breakers for receptacles only.Break it down,"arc fault,toggle switches create an arc when switched,try a dimmer instead of a switch for the lights that might be the ticket for you.
