Wondering if anyone has comments [good or bad] about Maddox transformers? Some 13,200 padmounts are being added and so far ....First one showed up wrong primary. I can kinda see that happening but the second AND third did not pass testing. This is all thru contractors and gc's so I am not privy to every detail yet. I will try to find out what tests were done. Thanks......

What testing did the transformers fail?

Have you verified the type of oil yet?
Never heard of the company personally most of the dry types around here from the Eaton Juarez plant in Mexico. Just over the border from El Paso.

I have seen wrong configurations show up several times. Delta Wye is very common for me. Wye Wye not so much. We do not have new situations with delta transformers on the secondary, at least I have never seen one in my area.

Morning...second hand info is that it was megged and something about pf. (?) One of the HV techs mentioned that ?if not drained and cleaned correctly there can be problems if a different oil is used?.
So i should have put this in the op.......these are 13200 to 208/120 [for these particular buildings]. I think this company has popped up more because of lead times for new units. I am by no means a true MV guy but i am involved since we own our transformers and when said and done i am the one doing the "switching" on our loop when the need arises. I appreciate your input SWD
