I have two maintenance contracts with a Vagabond Inn and a Best Western and when you do business with a hotel it is all about low price. I give them 15% off total invoice and no dispatch fees and they give me volume of service calls. You live in Florida? Are you close to Disney World and all the tourist attractions? If so you should market your electrical services to those business' with an emphasis on speedy service and professional, uniformed electricians. Make an attractive promotional packet and go to each hotel and sell them your services that will save them money, solve their electrical issues and keep their customers happy.

How are the contracts written out?....im thinking of giving them a low fixed price and no dispatch calls in return they sign a contract with me for lets say a year and all work with in lets say 20k and below all comes to me.anything above that then open for bid.

Don't call it a contract and get into too much legal detail with specifics. Call it an agreement and let them cancel at any time you will give them a discount and preferred scheduling. They will remain loyal to you if you give them a good price and great service

i have a couple of maintenance contracts. best thing about them is that it has led to a lot of other work. we started out just doing lights, now we do it all. they flat out told me the most important factor in using my company is that when they call for anything, i will be there when needed. i agreed. just for one example, we do well over 100k per year for one of them. and since january 1, we are around 75k......with just one company. i never had to give them a low ball price to get their business. but like i mentioned earlier, they are priority #1.
