When u use a metal pipe from the meter pan to the first means of disconnect on a 240/120 service, the requirement for using a bonding bushing by the first means of disconnect is that a utility requirement or nec? If its a nec requirement were can i find it? tx

main bonding jumper shall be used to connect the
equipment grounding conductor(s) and the service-disconnect
enclosure to the grounded conductor within the enclosure for
each service disconnect in accordance with 250.28.

It's actually the only time you ever can parallel the neutral with pipe. Keep looking.

One city up here wants us to bond in the meter with the electrode. Odd. Still run 3 wire in after. Contractors run underground all the way to xmfr on the pole. Usually the poco work.drive five mies and its a different story.

Bonding locknuts are cheaper if ko'd without eccentric or concentric ko's.
