Hi,

I have following motor nameplate

This is 10HP 480v 3ph motor upgraded from 5HP motor

I noticed the triangle symbol on leg2

Does this triangle mean anything?? because i've never seen this type of nameplate before... but i wired it as regular motors..

thanks

welcome to the forum
did you post a pic? for some reason I cant view it

anyway a triangle symbol on any motor name plate means it should be Delta connected. but on leg two only? I dnt know what that means.

so how did you connect it?

My guess is that there's another drawing that shows the wiring scheme for double-delta/part winding starting (or, start connection omitted and it's just the low-voltage run half of double-delta). The drawing you used is the "regular" connection style (delta).
