Does anyone have any experience with trying to arc-fault protect a multiwire circuit? I was told by the engineer at Eaton Corp. that I could use a two pole arc fault breaker. (I have pasted a link for a breaker that Eaton Corp. tried to send me or one similar to it. Their engineer said this would work. - The cut sheet says this can be used on a multiwire circuit but I am a little apprehensive about it.)

It seems that I have read about people trying to GFCI protect a multiwire circuit and it not working so well. Maybe that is why I am apprehensive about trying this option. Anyway, if anyone has any experience with this I would love to hear more about it. Thanks in advance.

Ge brand panels - 2 GE single pole arc fault breakers with a common handle tie will work with multiwire branch circuits. You only end up hooking one of the pigtails to the neutral bar. Works. (well, they are GE brand afci's so let me revise that to say sorta works..........)
