Well after about 5 hours, 2 trips to the box store, and 4 staple guns later i finally have a half azz set of lights up for my daughter. Does anyone else seem to run into more problems when you are doing something at your own house then any day in the field.

It's tough working on your own home because at the end you aren't being handed a check.:laughing:

Use hooks to put up your lights... not only is it easier next year but if you end up keeping the home you don't end up with 10,000 staples in your eaves.

They are actually. I put a timer and gfi in the laundry room and came off that.

I don't know about you guys, but my house will be the last one to be code compliant for this 2012. Unless I get a bunch of afci free cause the supply house screwed up an order and are free.

It sure sounds like im gonna have to check into hooks. Ive just always done what clark does and use a staple gun.

About 20 years ago, I stripped out a crapload of straight, red and green neon and hung them on my buddy's house at Christmas time.

It was....brilliant.
