I just got a pair of Timberland Pro Boondocks a couple weeks ago. These are the most comfortable pair of footwear I've ever owned. They were well worth the $260 price tag.
I've found that the more threads that are exposed;
1. More things to get hung on.
2. More places to fail. Not watertight...
If I'm steadly getting it, 6 - 7 months a pair for me...
