Hello everyone.
Im new to this kind of forum.
I was told that I could get help finding work.
My job of 10 years is coming to an end and I am looking to hit the road and do some contract work.
I am an Electrical Engineer with a PLC programming background.
Is there anyone here that can get me pointed in the right direction?:001_huh:

Thanks!

How is it looking out there for Controls guys?
I have been hitting up these temp staffing firms for some temporary contract work.
Things are not looking promising.
Any ideas where I could be looking?

My 10 year job just got Obamanated..
So I have not been out there in a while.

Indeed

Mullethead,

There is control work in Michigan. None in the Metro-Detroit region, but actually on the West side of Michigan, such a Grand Rapids, and K-Zoo.

Check out this website for job searches: http://www.indeed.com/
Enter key words that match your skill-set, and MI for the State. Indeed captures job posting from MANY sources.

You may also want to look toward Chicago (not to far from Benton Harbor).

Michigan is the worst place to be looking for a job right now, you may have to go out of State.

Keep your chin up. You job loss is no reflection on you, or your abilities. Everyone in Michigan that is unemployed, is due to the fact that the populus of the United States are NOT buying cars, but holding onto, and putting money into the vehicles that they currently own.
