We re launching a HVAC division . We hired a guy that was in business for himself but was struggling We offered a full time check and 25c on the dollar for his tools and he said yes. We are also looking at what equipment we would need for duct cleaning. If the HVAC works out and I think it will we are looking at a plumbing division 2015.

I'm thinking about restructuring and creating a new business from the "right" parts of the current one. Getting rid of dead weight and probably creating a lot more stress on myself.
Or I could keep going as business as usual and keep complaining to the wife everyday. I need to crap or get off the pot.

How do you get commercial service work? What's worked best for you?

I like resi service and this year I'd like to branch out a little into commercial. I did commercial service work as an employee in the past and enjoyed it.

Agreed HackWork, Resi is good to start out on, but Commercial I have found has a better feel to it for me at least.

May I suggest property management companies and real estate agents?

I've been subbing for a mechanical company doing VAV's and I'm hoping to parlay it into something bigger. Those commercial office space build outs seem like a piece of cake. Who the hell knows what I'm doing, seems like I'm stressed out of control all the time bio matter what the hell I do so whats the difference?
