I put up a new light fixture in a bedroom the other day. It worked just fine and then later when my wife turned on the closet light the closet bulb faded out, there wasn't a pop or anything just a fade out and now there's no power to the new fixture, the closet, or the adjoining hallway. But all my outlets still work. No breaker is tripped. Nothing smells like it's burning or anything and the only GFCI outlet I found in the house was in the basement bathroom (mind you this room is the 2 floor). All my outlets still work. Any ideas. Checked all the wiring from the lights to the ceiling but not beyond to that. I also changed the bulb socket that the bulb faded out on.
