please no union versus non-union war here! keep it friendly and a open discussion. I am curious what non-union journeymen and apprentices make an hour in my area.
I dont have any plans on going the non-union route. just want to see how bad or good it really is on the other side. I'm happy with the path I'm on as a ibew member and apprentice making over $18 hour with 2 years + experience.

the southwest as I said!........
That is a big area.
Encyclopædia Britannica said:
Southwest, region, southwestern United States, historically denoting several geographic areas in turn and changing over the years as the nation expanded. After the War of 1812, the Southwest generally meant Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana; after Texas was annexed, it, too, was included. In the wake of the war with Mexico, the Southwest embraced most, but not all, of the territory that was acquired under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (1848), including land often considered part of the “West”—i.e., New Mexico, Arizona, and all or parts of Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada, as suited the convenience of the user of the term. It ordinarily excludes California.

Ok so, did you get an offer to come to the States?
Just a little back story might get you some serious replies.

You could look up the PW wages rates in areas that are not historically union and maybe see but, non-union shops are not really a place where wages are discussed out in the open.
