Funny. I was just about to ask a very similar question. I'm thinking about buying some NWS or Knipex tools.
The two seem tied for quality and have some very similar designs. NWS cutters have serrated cutting surfaces. Online reviews seem to think its an advantage.
I use the NWS cutters, ***** and their radio pliers ( needle nose) on the daily. I would say the quality is on par with knipex, however the major difference for me is the overall feel of the tool. The handles have superior grip in all weather and greased environment, and...well I just like em.
Haven't tried their Combo pliers yet. But I ordered a pair of the ergo combo pliers for ****s and giggles last week. We'll see if they are actually usefull.
Nik.Sek posted here about the tools mentioned. I got the NWS cable cutters,Knipex bolt cutters and 4in1pliers.The cable cutter work great,(#2 al URD) especially in confined areas, the same for the Knipex tools. Only had em' a couple weeks,we'll see how they hold up compared to Kleins.
