On their new GFI's they are also marked Off and ON right side for trip and reset up when the grounds are up.

British outlets and plug pins are a lot thicker. Plus there outlets don't come in cheap 40 cent back stabbers.

IMO the "best" at least from a safety standpoint, are the ones that engage the ground pin first, and will not energize the pins until the they're completely covered.

They're cumbersome and mostly misused.
When they're sold new, they're fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The buyer is supposed to check the rating of the appliance, they're used on and fuse it accordingly.
With the 30amp ring circuit and a 13 amp fuse, the user is risking a fire.
The low current items sold in Britain, have only, like a 20awg cord.
