I have a customer who wants to power up two machines. Each one requires 480v, 3 phase, 15 amp power. It will be located 120' from the source.

Is it permissable to install a 60a breaker, run #6 to a junction box where the machines will be and then run #12 to a 15 amp fusible disconnect for each machine?

Can't see why not. The distance from your junction box to the 15 amp disconnects may be restricted.

Gotta be under 10' in that setup I'm pretty sure. 15 is not 1/3 or greater of 60. You could use a 30 or 45 amp ocpd and run your taps up to 25'. If I recall correctly
