My exterior post lamp quit working. Thought the photocell was the problem. Replaced with a new one, but it still doesn't switch on (covered cell w/ tape). The line is 120v to the post. With the photocell detached, I ran a pass through from the line hot to the red hot and the light comes on fine. I assume the neutral from the photocell is to power the cell only and isn't necessary for a pass through check. I installed the original post lamp a year ago and the cell was new and has worked flawlessly til this point. I hope someone can offer me a clue to this problem.

Thanks!
