Great way to spend $42 bucks. Nice round beam, 5K light and adjustable/focus-able like a maglight, all from one tiny LED and a heavily plano-convexed lens.

3 of the AAA batteries? Ive been using the streamlight LED stinger. Has rechargeable battery packs. Mucho stupid expensive though. Im on year 3 with the same light, charger and pair of batt packs. Lifetime warranty on streamlight gear. (not the batt packs of course)

The charger will charge the flashlight and the spare pack at the same time so when the battery goes down on you the other is ready to go.

I bought a Coast LED flashlight from Menards for the same price. It's a little bigger, but I do like it more than the Redline I had previous.

I've been using this for about 2 years now and works great. One overnight charge lasts the whole week. It has a clip on the back that I can hang it from my collar and I always know where it is. Has survived many falls from ladder and still works.

I've tried other brand with similar design but none have stood up to the abuse this one takes.
