It don't feel right. 352.12a says pvc shall not be used in any hazardous location. I take that to mean from the seal off on the classified side to the seal off at the non classified location. This is underground. One man says you can use pvc after you are out of the classified area. For example, grc down into the slab in the hazardous location, underground for 20', then transition to pvc, then back up out of the ground with grc and seal off in non classified area. Code compliant or not? No pvc in the classified area at all.

2 ft down and a EGC, then PVC is allowed, basically.
