Pretty interesting layout on them. They have front wheel drive and the diesel engine has an automated manual transmission (don't ask, I don't know much about them). Not to mention a 5 year 100K powertrain warranty.

I'm getting 300+ miles from a tank doing a mix city/highway. AVG speed around 22-23mph per tank. Should be a bigger tank but what can you do. Need a 30 gal tank in the competitors(not sprinters)version to get about 300 though....haha

Plenty of power, brakes are Brembo and that speaks for itself. I got the heated seat and a few other options been good so far. Approx 2800 miles on it.

Gas tank waaay too small. 24 Gallons?? You'd be filling that thing up every other day ...
I fill up a 30 gallon every day as is, so this would still be a hassle, but less expensive.

I would like to find someone driving it as a stocked service truck to get their feedback. I wonder what the MPG's are for a loaded van, diesel vs. gas, etc.....

Been thinking of getting a Transit Connect for a while now for the fuel economy aspect, but I'm just not sure it will really work on a daily basis. I think I would have to keep my existing van to supplement the Transit for larger service jobs.

Do you have the diesel or the gas?

Gas. The diesel won't be available for a while. The van is set on 15 mpg so far with heavy defrost usage and idling this time of year, I fully expect it to go up in the spring. I have a pretty good amount of weight in there, getting it fully stocked May take a bit. But I keep 2 ladders a full asst of tools and a good mix of material/hardware in it.

I was looking into a Brembo brake conversion for my Chevy 1 ton.

I get well over 400 miles per tank with my 33 gallon tank in my Econoline.

But they don't make `em anymore .... <sigh> ...

True they are stopping, is it a diesel? Can you walk in the back? The new Transit should be nice when they finally release it. My van would go approx 500 miles with a 33 gal tank. That'd be nice too.

A customer brought one in the other day for our install guys to work on. I looked it over and it seemed solidly built and a lot of room. I talked t the driver and he was happy with it.

I've seen one. Not that looks matter very much for a work truck, it has to be one of the UGLIEST vehicles I have ever seen.
My friend and I stopped by a dealership yesterday and looked at them.

He felt like you, very ugly.

I felt like it is ugly but who cares if it works good. But it's still a Dodge so not really interested.

Everything looks good on them to me, but as mentioned, it is a Dodge. I think the vehicle is a Fiat? Not sure, I can't remember what the parent brand is. They are all over Europe though, and very popular there, so I imagine they must be reliable.

Can I get 300K miles out of an engine and transmission like on my Ford and Chevy? That would be nice.
