In residential multi family dwellings, are the spacing requirements for receptacles in common areas the same?

I was asked about this in a camp setting. Is the receptacle spacing of a dwelling used in a room for sleeping 20 plus people in a building that is more like a school or campus. I said no, the building is not a dwelling.

I agree, it is very likely not a dwelling.

I don't know about the US but we space them around thirty feet apart. That isn't a code rule (Canada), just a rule of thumb. It's not a dwelling.
