I'm on the market to purchase a less expensive IR device for each one of the maintenance trucks we have, we currently have a FLIR and a Fluke Ti105. Fluke has a winter saving special on the VT02 and VT04 units with a rebate of up to $400 off, if anyone owns or has used one before I would like to know the feed back on it before I commit to buy 5 pieces.

Thanks.

I've had the VT02 for about 6 months. I use it primarily for quick spot checks on breakers, disconnect fuses, inside MCC's, etc.

It is not a replacement for a thermal imager, I think of it as an NCT versus a DMM.

What are your thoughts on the unit itself? What is the difference between VT02 and 04?
