We got winners, we got losers,
Chain spammers and boozers.
An' we got yuppies, we got bikers,
An' we got , thirsty noob pikers.
We make MH next door look like movie stars.
Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, I love this bar.
We got rodents, we got bruddas,
Broken hearted dyi's and EC muthas.
An' we got hustlers, we got fighters,
Early birds and all nighters.
And the mods talk about their battle scars:
Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, I love this bar.

Luckily, I'm not. Kind of the tough thing about the Internet is that anyone can post just about anything.

One thing you can do to at least is ask your happy customers to write positive reviews, push this link down in Google.
Not know the other side of the story we do not know if it was a fair charge or not.

Quoting a price to find a fault could be a win or lose proposition.

300.00 for a CB and what was or wasn't done does not seem bad.

The sales pitch style is not my method but it must work as SOME electrical firms thrive working that way.

Chicken,

How do you come up with these lyrics all the time?:001_huh::rolleyes::eek::laughing:
Just quoted a thermography job and got the response that they have "had this done many times before and have never seen such an incredibly high quote!"

But for some mysterious reason, all the other contractors who do IR just can't seem to get out there and provide their fantastically low priced services to this customer.

There's a reason 99% of stuff costs what it does. I think it was stupid of that guy to try the "What are you looking to spend?" avenue, because it does make people feel like they're being ripped off. But that $300 might be perfectly legitimate.

I might throw out a reasonable quote and if they say they cant afford it and i know i wont lose $ since im already there i would probably work with them. I had a company want a quote for a house that had a fire. They said quote worst case scenerio so i did. I didnt like wherei seen hot spots and damage so i quoted wiring almost the whole house. They came back and said someone was doing it for less than half of my price. Im guessing they needed a higher price for insurance then found someone off cl to do it.

The company I used to work for received many complaints which were all pretty accurate:laughing::
Eric Ripert from Le Bernardin has someone watch for any negative comments or reviews and he has 3 Michelin stars. It's hard getting to the top, but even harder staying there.
So how much does a star cost....?:whistling2:

Ed Magedson, the criminal extortionist behind RipoffReport.com
This is a warning for anyone out there who is considering becoming involved with Ed Magedson of RipoffReport.com or posting on it. He is a SCAMMER and EXTORTIONIST and I have total proof below. (Note: I will NOT remove this site exposing him until he removes MY posts from his site as I asked him to)

Basically, he set up RipoffReport.com to EXTORT money from people unethically. When someone posts a complaint, it can never be removed, even if the poster requests or demands it. Instead, they are referred to an arbitration program that costs thousands of dollars! That is pure extortion. There is no logical reason to ask a poster to pay thousands of dollars just to remove his own post on a website. Legitimate sites allow the poster to remove their own posts, or will gladly remove it per their request.

Anyone can put up a site and demand extortion. But it’s highly unethical and an obvious scam. And it’s a loser way to make money as well. Such people have no ethics, conscience, morals and are sociopaths and criminals. That’s exactly what Ed Magedson is.
<<<<<<<snip>>>>>>>>

Finally, for some damning and incriminating info about Ed Magedson, see this website about his criminal activities, arrests (with scanned documents and police reports) and $20,000 reward offered for his whereabouts so that he can be served in court.

http://www.ezripofflawsuit.com

The obvious truth is that Ed Magedson is a criminal extortion scammer and a low scum, not that he can’t verify who the author of a report is.

We've seen dumb scams, we've seen high-techs,
Blue collar boys and ********.
An' we got loafers, and copper looters,
Big fat wiremen with hooters,
And we like to drink our beer from a mason jar:
Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, I love this bar,

I put thermography in the same category as back flow testing. Everyone does it cheap and the next guy does it for even less.
Rather confronting of the entire FR philosophy, eh?

Some friends of mine had a furnace installed by a pretty big company. The company had a big franchise electric company come wire the furnace back up. The electrician told them that they were lucky their house hasnt burned down and that they really need to get the panel changed out because its a fire hazard. He said he could do it for $6000+ And get it done right away. They couldnt sleep at night thinking their house could blaze up any time. I checked it out knowing there was nothing wrong. They told the guy no thanks they know an electrician and he kelt feeding them bs. I dont like those sales pitches except when its a real hazard
