Whats the spacing measurements for commercial rooftop receptacles?? Havent done any commercial work in a long time.
That a poor design in my opinion, I d stick the gfi on the roof.Shockdoc said:within 25' of HVAC equipment. It's OK to use a standard receptacle up there and GFCI protect it from a bathroom.:jester:
Actually the receptacle on the roof must be a weather resistant receptacle in addition to being GFCI protected and located within 25' of the equipment.within 25' of HVAC equipment. It's OK to use a standard receptacle up there and GFCI protect it from a bathroom.:jester:
I only do that when we have HVAC guys like Roadhouse on the job. That a poor design in my opinion, I d stick the gfi on the roof.
In the case it gets my stamp of approval.Shockdoc said:I only do that when we have HVAC guys like Roadhouse on the job.
Nope, the only requirement is that there is a receptacle located within 25 feet of the equipment. (See 210.63)Thnks what about in between receptacles is it 75'?
there is no "in between". any unit must be withing 25' of a receptacle.Thnks what about in between receptacles is it 75'?
You are going to have to get a lot better description than that. Or a picture.I have viewed an electrical device similar to portable lighting on top of a roof and it looks like an extension cord is attached. I believe the device is powered from somewhere inside the residence. The device appears to be constantly connected. Is this allowed on a personal residence per code?

temporary for construction type work?
night time partying/relaxing?
is this your roof? are you living in the same building? if not why do you care?
in my area, no one official cares if somebody does something questionable in or on their home, except for the insurance ppl
who will deny the claim if they find out about poor practices after the disaster, whatever it may be or whatever caused it
if you live in this building, either report to the landlord or call a home inspector and start an official complaint
