I get called out to a home where the H/O says her bathroom receptacles stopped working about a week ago. She also says she thought she might have smelled what could be described as "rotten burnt BBQ." I check the first bathroom GFI and get hit w/ that smell the second the cover plate is removed. As I'm removing the outlet I call to the H/O and say "I found your problem, and the smell!" Hungry anyone?:detective: Anyone else have intelligent rodents addicted to romex in their area?

Hehehe. The last cooked mouse I found had a hole in its temple from the path the current had taken.

A fair portion of the HOs I have encountered at work have responded to news of rodent damage by saying, "We don't have mice."

KO seals are no joke. Found a couple openings on a lovely Zinsco bolt in panel with a mouse wedged into the busbars about half way down the breakers. Was I glad nothing broke putting that back together. Filled all the openings.

Had a good one today. Mouse on a busbar, he was good until he decided to bite the neighboring grounded strut. Found him with his teeth still clamped onto the strut.

It's been getting cold up here and all the field mice are going into the warm gear. Seems like every call I've had lately, I've found mice.
