Sales during change of season

Change of season, change of temperature....

The change of temp in the spring and fall seems to always generate a lot of photocell/dusk-to-dawn light service calls. I'm not sure why that is, but don't miss the opportunity!

Resist the urge to look at these calls as a quick twist-lock photocell replacement. These same people need other stuff done, if you just probe a little, I guarantee it. I've been at a few this past month already that only requested a outdoor light fixed, and I was there all day. Ask some questions, and sell, sell, sell!

When I did residential work it always seemed attic fan, ceiling fans in the summer working in the attic, and baseboard heat with uf around the outside of the house in the winter.. Also landscape lighting is much bigger now then when I did residential.
I just told a guy yesterday, while I was putting together his ceiling fan, that I should have kept tally marks someplace on all the paddle fans I've put up. I'm 100% certain it's in the 1000's of fans.

TIP:::: Carry remote controllers with you on the truck. People normally supply the paddle fan for service calls, but you can sell them a remote controller!
md - the example you give and the situations you are talking about are ripe for flat rate (or whatever name you want to give it)

let's your employees do the same thing.

Then when Mrs. Jones asks the price, no problem, here it is. Don't have to call the shop and get a price. No issue with T&M and unknown charges.

Find 10 things they need, give them prices on the spot, let them decide what they do and don't want.
