Does anybody ask the client to send pics and/or what questions do you ask before making a long drive and waste time on rehab work that just isn't worth it to bid on?

ask when they want to start the project, how many est. they going to get, maybe tel customer you want to sign them up when you come out. maybe try to get to know the customer little before you go out. if the job is below a certain number just give them a phone estimate. read some sales books get some sales tips.

Ask about timeframe and see if it even fits into your schedule. Also ask about their budget. If they say 2K but it sounds like 10K worth of work say yourself the time and effort.

I like the budget question. Do you ever ask them to send pics to see if its what they describe?
