Sunwire Energy is a growing solar installation company based in Maryland and we are seeking a Master or Journeyman Electrician to provide licensing, leadership and technical acumen to our field operations. This is a key field management position within the company.

Primary duties to include:
• Operate as the field lead and technical expert on PV installations
• Manage a crew of 2-3 installers
• Manage product orders and inventory and manage key electrical distributor relationships
• Supporting pre-sales bid work via project cost estimations and technical design inputs
• Support post-sale activities such as permitting, zoning review and engineering design review
• Develop and manage all customer O&M activities
• Participate with and report to management on a daily to weekly basis

• Requires a Maryland State Master Electrician or Journeyman license and a minimum of six months installing commercial or residential PV installations and/or expertise working with DC voltage, equipment and inverters
• NABCEP PV Installation Professional™ certification preferred
• OSHA 10 or 30 safety course certificates required within 6 months of employment
• Proven ability to perform work of exceptional quality to most current code standards and industry best practices inclusive of maintaining an in depth knowledge of NEC 690 & 705, ASCE 7-05, and UL Standards 1703 and 1741
• Must be able to work outdoors in all local weather conditions
• Must be able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must be able to demonstrate ability for professionalism in customer service and personnel management
• Must be able to use laptop computers inclusive of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint software
• Requires passing a pre-employment screening looking for clean criminal, driving and drug records
• Must have valid Maryland driver’s license and own transportation
• Must be willing to help grow the company’s customer base by supporting local selling activities
• Must be a team player and work extremely well with others
