Hey guys, had a guy call me saying his kitchen lights keep flickering also has two breakers that keep tripping separate from the lights. He has a main panel which consists of a Edison base fuses, then he has a breaker panel which is a sub panel. What are some tips on troubleshooting this situation. Thank you very much.

comprehensive and thorough troubleshooting,(
voltage tests, current tests, draw the layout of devices and lighting on paper, turn computers and TVs off,, turn lights on and do a load check, charge accordingly for troubleshooting) thorough inspection of all panels, recommend replacement of fuse box

Is this a multiwire branch circuit?

Check all connections from the panel out POWER OFF

Check voltage to ground at a light as the flicker occurs

Does this happen in conjunction with a motor starting, AC or fridge?

Measure current and voltage at the panel as the flicker occurs.

Could be an open neutral, loose connection on the ungrounded conductors, utility issue, such as a loose connection or undersized feeder or transformer.

Could be a lot of things and this is where you learn, do not give up and remember it ain't magic figure it out.
