Small Parts Storage

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new system for small parts storage. Something to hold screws, bolts, nuts, special wirenuts, ground lugs, etc. Right now we have 3 Klein 16 bin storage trays, but I am sick of screws and stuff "migrating" into different bins. Very annoying when you want to just grab an 8-32x3/4 screw and have to dig through 1.5 and 2" screws to find some. What y'alls got? I am already getting dewalt tstak boxes, but I don't think they have one that will do what I want to do.

Picture of what we have:

You gotta go with the Pro or Fatmax series.

This is the deep organizer. Both Dewalt and Stanley make the exact same one:

The problem with both of those is the bins are too big. There's only 10 of them.

I like this organizer because there are medium and small bins, 25 total. The problem is that it's not the Fatmax series so it's not built as well:

The thing about suitcase style organizers is that you have to come to understand that you really can't stand them up, at least not for long periods of time, certainly not in a bouncy truck. You need to lay them flat so the parts stay in the correct bin.

This is the same thing only it is shallow, I like this one a lot: http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-FMST1..._sim_hi_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=17VWJ5PHYFR9H08ZV6X2

I use those and also this one: http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Removable-Compartment-Professional-Organizer/dp/B001G1CUK0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393523137&sr=8-1&keywords=014710r

Those with big bins I use for PVC fittings and EMT fittings. I am thinking about making some kind of slide-in shelf for truck to hold them.

I also use quite a few of those Plano 11" organizers.

Are you talking about this?

I've used these in the past and absolutely HATE them. They are big and get very heavy. You can't just open it quickly, such as pulling it to the edge of the shelf and opening it to grab something quick. You need to put it down on something flat and large enough to cantilever the top part back. I just found it to be a pain to work out of.

The non-fatmax Stanley version that HD & Lowes sells work well (5+ years so far), with the exception of a few pro ken latches. If you saw of the 1/8" tits on the bottom you can fit three in a milk crate lying on its side and make a sort of filing cabinet out of them.

Does anyone know where you can buy just the yellow containers that the Stanley comes with; they fit perfectly into our small packrat drawers!

Those look like a good start. Will look into them tonight, thanks Hacky.
