Anyone seen or used these before? Looks like a pretty neat product. Glorified cord end. Can even be used for a floor receptacle or a window sill.

Used em several times in kitchen islands over the past few years

You're wrong about using those for floor receps.
they do make a floor receptacle but that's not the one

What is the benefit of using that single device over a standard duplex receptacle?

Depending on where it's placed, 406.5(E) might come into play.
why are you referencing 406.5(e)?

I use them in the sides of kitchen islands in a stile or smaller gap where there isn't enough width for a cut in box

have also used them in mantles as well

another place I have used them is in a kitchen where a passthrough sits directly on top of the backsplash and there wasn't enough room for a cut in box

Just installed my first few last week. They aren't to bad to install. They definitely look better than a standard duplex and install in small places.

I highly recommend running your wire so only one wire terminates at the sillite

I think theyre ok. design could be much better. I don't like how the wires terminate on the screws. very easy to strip out.

We use them every once in a while. Their original purpose was for window sill candles but we have used them for cabinets, tvs, rope lights, drawer outlets, etc.

You can get them for as low as $16 and they come in TR.

I have never used them in the floor.
