Socket Wiring

2447 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Speedy Petey
Hello everyone, I just activated my telephone and dsl lines yesterday and have been having trouble connecting to the internet.

I've plugged my new modem into the wall socket and it doesn't give any indication of a network being present. Looking inside the socket I see that two wires aren't connected to anything is this normal?

I've traced the wires back under the house and this is the only socket they lead to. Which numbers do they correspond to if any?

I live in Australia and the socket is labeled
KRONE ABS-FR 2

If this is a simple fix please let me know.

Your local electrician or telco tech will be able to sort that out for you.
you only need one pair for DSL or POTS
