I'm in an old house (Pre-1900) with a new bathtub and surround going in upstairs. Wiring will be made a lot easier if I can add a subpanel to the hallway where the wall is open. My only concern is because there will be a tub surround on the other side of the wall.

The panel will be in the hallway so I would think it satisfies code, should I have any concern over moisture buildup due to the shower being right behind the panel? The shower head would be at the opposite end of the tub if that matters (No water lines on this end).

Should there be a layer of drywall or barrier between the surround and the back of the panel?
