One of our contractors pointed out to me today the size difference between T&B and Burndy 500MCM lugs . These are the crimp on lugs and the ID of the tube portion of the T&B lug is almost 1/4" larger by eye. Both lugs are for 500 MCM copper building wire. I must add that we noticed the size difference in a #2 lug the T&B having the larger ID.
Has anyone else noticed this and do you have a explanation for this.

THANKS LC

There are lots of crossreference tables around on the internet for equivalent lugs from various manufacturers and what die is required. Collect as many as you can. Print them out and store them with your crimper. Always find the part number for lug you're using and match it up to a table with your die.
