Can a F32T8 bulb with electronic ballast be replaced with a LED T8 without rewiring or eliminating the ballast? I heard there was one that works with the electronic ballast but, can't seem to find one on the web.

Hi Sal

to my knowledge (limited) the T8 retro tubes are either dual end or single end fed, as well as the issue of shunted tombstones. The ones i've been considering require 120v / can the ballast / rewire the tombstones

Further , some of the code gurus here have informed me of the '14 inclusion asking for field nrtl verification (i have no clue how this would occur out in my rural area btw)

Hopefully some of them will chime in and unfuzz me/you

My lighting SH told me about 3 options for LED lay in's. One of them was for a bulb that would work with existing ballast. But since I was just shooting the **** while waiting on my stuff, I don't recall the details.

Thanks guys. I have been doing research with no luck. Although I have someone who states adamantly that he has a vendor who manufactures these bulbs but, haven't received the vendors info yet. Lol.

My understanding of it is that the retro-fit kits are listed for field modification of equipment, not that they have to be verified in the field.
