telescopic lifts, telehandler, lull, controls similar or different?

do most telehandlers, boom lifts, lulls have similar controls (levers, buttons, peddles, etc) ? Or is there substantial variety in the controls/operation of the various makes of telehandlers?

telescoping forklifts and manlifts are very similar (in my experience), bucket trucks are a little different. none of them are that hard to operate without a little screwing around, except I have been on buckets that were extremely touchy.
