A friend posted on facebook about needing an electrician to fix a hot tub, this was one of the replies:


If anyone knows where I can get some of that spare 220, let me know!

seriously some people need to get smacked upside the head as well as getting a hell of a jolt to learn a lesson.

I always wondered where that spare 220 was going....now I know. I think I'll retire from the trade now....I've mastered it all...there is nothing more to learn.:whistling2:

Don't you need a bucket of OHMs to catch the extra 220, or they just run free and eat a hole in the bucket?
I think you need some kind of drain pipe.
Reminds me of a story from long ago. The homeowner called out our company to look at a patio receptacle that was "leaking juice". They asked him what he meant. He said it was leaking so much juice the electric charcoal lighter element he had would not work. They tested it and it was working and so he plugged in the lighter to prove it was still leaking. Then he grabbed the hot element and screamed in pain. The guys could not help laughing and he kicked them out.
