Has it ever passed an inspection? These weren't independently supported. There's 8 of them and we're charging them to re support them with unistrut lagged to the joists and 3/8" all thread to an octagon box and a caddy bar to the grid.

I like the plywood and rod/strut better than the ceiling fan box I saw butchered into where the "t" grid intersected. Looked like band saws gone wild.
