Does anyone know of a brand or type of ups (uninteruptable power supply) that you run a cable to and from a remote location to be able to give remote signaling/alarm when there is a loss of power? Basically letting you know that it is on battery power only.

I know all the ups has the alarm on the unit itself for local alarming, but is there a hookup for a remote location?

Im looking at a small ups' like the ones just for a small computer or server. Searched online but cannot find any.

Look at APC smart UPS with a slot. Get a network management card. It can email or text you anywhere, especially the day after you go on vacation!
Each of my PC's have one along with the cable modem and 24 port switch.

Almost all commercial UPS systems you can buy a 'web/http/snmp' accessory card to have these capabilities.

Hayley Units have built in AC Fail, Common Charger Alarm and DC Low Volt relays. Typically I've run a 4C14 from a PLC to the charger and tied in for the AC Fail, and Low DC... Parts are on the shelf and they know their products and have great support..
