All my career I've built panels that used panduit for wire management. Now when I look at panels without, they look so........naked and unfinished.

I realize there is nothing wrong with not having panduit depending on how much wiring you have to manage.

Still....

Also, that door harness looks to be a tad on the short side.

I'll leave now.

That couldn’t have been fun. We only got 8 inches at home and some folks got 24. Mostly easy generator repairs today.
It was pretty solid and packed in there. Slowly chiseled it out til I had enough for a day, then back at it the next day. It was about 7' tall and that drift was about 18-20" long. The one that turns right was about 3-7' deep and was about 50' long. That one is slowly down apart too.

Getting ready to shut down a production facility tomorrow to upgrade the distribution and add some e-stops to one line. Thankfully theres schematics for it.

The 2x 2p100a breakers feed the production line pictured.. its 3ph.

Had 3 other panels in the building all run on #6, all tied to one 100a breaker.. Shutdown yesterday at lunch to re feed them separately.. tomorrow we need to fix a pile of broken pipe feeding one, pull in some bonds, and repair splices.

Another line elsewhere had some stops added by an in-house "electrically inclined" fella. One is a toggle switch breaking the incoming 208 with some free air wiring(35a draw, 20a federal breaker, #12) the other is a mushroom head tied right into the main dc motor peckerhead(25a dc).
I can't believe the contacts in it are still working.

I could easily spend a year here righting the major wrongs.

Love the 60’s era blue print with the obligatory dirty fingerprints on it. Whoever put the Vibram footprint on it deserves a fair trial and then shot to quote a certain member from Western Nevada.

Yesterday I went to my dad's place and took care of prepping for an internet install at his place next week. Theres no spare conduit from pole to house, so for now the modem and router from the ISP is going on the pole in a fiberglass enclosure, and using a pair of wireless radios to send internet to the house. Then I have another set of radios to send network from our network after our own router to the pole for internet for the PTZ camera I put up. The 2 radios and the PTZ all run off one network cable from a POE injector in the box. Camera is permanently installed, the wireless radios are temporarily installed, as come summer I will be trenching and putting in 2 or 3 more conduit from the house to the pole, and from the garage to the house (a whomping 7' from house to garage 🤣). Summer project is replace the 60A feed from house to garage with at least 100, maybe 150A from the house (depends what we get our hands on for wire, but the main is a siemens 200, so I think it'll be 125A).

Then today was Megan's birthday... I spent a solid hour making this shirt for her... I found this design online and used it as a template. I have a couple extra copies to make more, but they need some fixing, as I set the thing up wrong and 2 letters didn't get cut fully, so I'll make replacement letters and roll them up as stock for a future shirt.

I really need to find time to work on my website for the shirts and vinyl.

I also made room in my spare room to move the plotter out of my living room. Soon I'll have a dedicated space for it that's not in my way anymore 😁 and I can hopefully bring my dining room table back into the apartment.

Also at work, I'm building a LITERAL arsenal of TimeLapse cameras. So if you or a client are interested in a time-lapse camera service let me know, they're taking up too much space 🤣 (I currently have 32 of them, and I have some coming back for repairs) 🤣🤣🤣 (no this is not advertising, I do not share company information, you'd have to look into it yourself, I'll just give you the company name haha)
