I buy these by the case in both clear and white and use it for everything outdoors:

I like the small tubes better. No caulk gun needed, disposable, easy to reuse if there's enough left over to save, etc.

Crap we agree again, I switched to the small tubes as well but I also like to have latex caulk so it is paintable.
