Where do you buy supplies for large jobs?

Specifically light bulbs for fixtures? Do most of you buy from Home Depot Pro or is there another source you recommend.

Thank you for your help.

Thanks. So you typically purchase your fixtures and lamps at the same time from a distributor?
Lithonia, etc. arrive fully lamped.

No way can I afford to lamp in the field.

Shipping damages -- I file a claim...

or entirely reject the delivery -- when it's been totally trashed.

That's very rare, only seen once.

Many jobs feature materials provided by the franchisor.

So the 'lighting package' ,per se, is not even in the bid.

Just the labor to walk it into the building and install it.

The franchisor or the GC tackles freight damages... so not my problem.

What's a big job? For me it's a whole house reno. For someone else it's a high rise apartment.

For what it's worth, I have a local guy who is plugged into China and I buy bulbs and trims from him.

Hence the term: Pull-it... surprise !

Master franchisors feel free to change gears without any notice to the franchisee -- or the folks building out his space. :(

The only viable solution is to use EMT risers inside the pertinent walls...

Which are, hopefully, stuffed with MC ( stripped way back ) at the last moment -- during the frenzy.

Full on EMT runs just cost too much.
