Started pulling in HRs on another 2500 sq ft new build, I try to keep it limited to four 20 amp ckts as min code but this is what I ended up with
20 - 2 1/2 bathroom outlets only
20- Laundry
20- kitchen counter
20- " "
20- range ign, hood & refrig
20AFCI - great room/DR receptacles
20- panel GFCI, outdoor recept.

I hate being generous

Why do you pull the panel GFI & outside receptacles in #12? I would pull a #14.

I know the custom home guys will cringe at this, but we used to wire houses bigger than that with the fridge on one of the kitchen circuits.

It's a wide open 1st floor design with GR and DR with the kitchen. The GR outlets are on the way to the DR and both require AFCI protection. As long as it doesn't serve countertop it's permisable.

Once the service gets tied in it becomes the source for all the trades working on the house. The outside receptacle goes back to back using a scrap piece of romex. I also use the same loadside to feed the GDO

Sounds about right. What AFCI cycle are you using.

I would put 2 garage rec, GD opener, front & back door rec, and A/C rec all on one GFI and it would be a 15 amp circuit. I'd tie the crawlspace rec & light on too if it had one.

That's kinda weird how when they tie your service in they hot it up. We used to tie a peice of 10/2 from the t-pole to the house panel to check everything out before we left. They wont let you turn power on till the house has all its finals. I tried to get a conditional power inspection on a detached garage im wiring into a metal shop the other week, so the HVAC guys and the carpenter's could get their finals and get paid. The inspector said no way. It has to be finished 100% first.
