I found work on Craigs list

There is work out there no doubt but nobody wants to take on an GREEN apprenticeship...
Is moving out of the question? I know that Meisner in Ft Laud is always trawling for help.

Ft lauderdale huh? That place is expensive to live isn't it? I know all the wealthy people live down there... I went there a few times. Not for me.

The problem I have is I have a interview for monday morning for a company I REALLY want to work for and they have their "stuff" together.

but today I had a job offer but they are smaller and don't offer as much benefits.

Neither is guarenteed though that is hte problem. I don't know what to do and I don't want to get on anybody's bad side...

There are benefits for working for small and large shops. In a small shop, you're more likely to be exposed to many types of electrical work, versus straight commercial in the large shops. In a small shop, you have the ability to shine, since there's aren't so many people. In a large shop, you can just put in your time and blend in with the masses, which is exactly what many guys prefer to do. It depends on your personality whether you would be a better fit in a small shop or a large shop. That preference can also change as you age and progress in your career. At this point, it would seem beggar's can't be choosers.

I understand. The main difference is the big company will send me to school.

The smaller company will eventually send me to school.

Is going to school that important?

My goal is to become a well rounded electrician.. Residental, commercial, and industrial...
What I also was thinking was I should just be lucky to get a job in this slow market. If I can get experience now I should be set for when everything picks up.. That is what my other side is thinking...

That sounds about right. You're the only one that knows what you need to live on, however.
In the history of mankind from cavemen to modern man when there was no food to when there was no work relocation was, is and always will be the answer.

OR STARVATION

Yup.

It's important to learn the theory and the "book stuff" as well as the nuts and bolts aspect you learn in the field.
Pyroracing, I know one contractor you may want to call.

Craigslist is huge in some area's but not in others. Its kind of hit and miss I've fund.
It's a shame you're not in St. Cloud, Fl. We are hiring. Mainly industrial electricains but we still hire motivated helpers/apprentices. We do resi, commercial, and industrial. Plus we send everyone to school.
