A customer I do a lot of work for asked me to come look at something he said would be very simple.
He has an alarm system in his building and the front door has a chime that's hooked in with the alarm system...he wants me to tap into that chimer and hook it up to a PA horn so he can have something in the back of his warehouse that will let him know when someone opens the front door....Suggestions?

I don't know about a door bell to alarm system but most modern door bells have rear (door bells out put terminals). Could it be as simple as another
contactor at the front door and run to some distance.

Could you even bridge to report ?

What it the output of the report from any alarm system ?

This is where a nice single line will describe your layout, I beleive the new diagram should be in parallel verses series to report better.

Take the device requirement againest what might be required from voltage drop.

Since there such a good customer ask them what they want to listen too ?

the beep/chime might be built into the alarm keypad.

Elk makes a audio generator with a trip contact. Simply wire the dooorbell into the audio generator and output that to the interupt channel of the pa amp. I've came across the same situation.
