Just wondering, has any journeymen transferred to New Zealand from Canada? I'm thinking of doing this in the future, and I was wondering how busy it is there for electricians, and if it was a relatively easy process?!

I know Australia requires a work permit and you need to challenge there "red seal" don't know about NZ

Here are a couple of things that you will need to arrange before you can work as an electrician in NZ.
You will need a work visa from the NZ govt.
You will also need an electrical practicing license. If you are already qualified in Canada then that will count towards the license but you would still need to pass the electrical regulations exam and a practical assessment.
It should be fairly easy to find work here. In Christchurch especially, where the city is being rebuilt after the earthquake, tradesmen are all busy and we have a small army of English, Irish and South African tradesmen helping to make up the shortfall.
