I use the normal things like most of you guys. Sharpies, pencils and pens. I started using grease pencils lately at work and I absolutely love them! They're great for marking conduit, writing on wood or concrete or steel studs. Great for temporary labeling in panels. What I like the most is with the wipe of your finger it rubs off of panels and conduit.

I now use gray sharpie...

I have a black sharpy, and I use a silver sharpie.

I also have a white wax pencil for black cabling

Sharpie mean streak in white is awesome for touching up cabinets when your apprentices drop sh|t on finished surfaces.

It's opaque "paint in a tube" like grease pencil with chapstick-style roller on the bottom.

Marks on anything, even wet.
