We only use milbank only had one problem with them. I got one meter main socket where the hole in the cover was just off enough where you could not close it with the meter in place. They sent me a new cover and sent me two meter mains for my trouble.

It will take an army of electricians several lifetimes to replace all the Anchor meter sockets in New England. :laughing: Prior to Milbank, it seems like they were the only socket installed around here. There must be hundreds of thousands of them still in existence.

They don't rust (AL), no room to work in. One less to look at in a week or so. PSNH had another brand they were using here for a while which wasn't any better or worse than Millbank and I can't remember the brand. Not one of the big name people.

I don't thinking I've ever installed a meter socket that wasn't a milbank other than stack metering (installed GE and Square-D). If it ain't broke...
