Just want to get some input from people. I've been using Home Advisor for a lead service with some success. Tried Google adwords, and got exactly 1 call for $300 dollars worth of advertising.

I got a cold call from Yodle, promising the world for $195 dollars a month. What they showed me was that they would build a website for me, and a mobile website, and get me on the top 4 of the front page for 20 keywords...etc. This list goes on and on

Does anyone have any experience with these guys? I'd love some input

If you've got an iPhone , right click as if you're going to add a new contact, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Block this caller.

Never buy advertising from cold callers , you'll get ripped off every time .

try footbridge media will build the website for 150 a month
get your own hosting before you have them build the website or have them build a website on the hosting that you buy. that way you can keep the website

try Yahoo Local business works, 30 bucks a month see if it helps you out

A friend of mine had recommended them to me. So I am currently using them. I paid for 6 months - less then $100 per month. Received my first job from them this week. Not completely unsatisfied but unless things pick up, I will not be renewing.

are they a month to month deal or do you need to pay 6 months in advance?

The website they designed was horrible and there was a monthly fee.

I bartered with a web developer and he built me a website and I pay the yearly hosting fee which is like $110.00 a year.

The web.com site did not send me one customer. My own website that my customer built was sending me customers instantly. I also come up organically on most of the major search engines. Web.com did not even have me on the first 10 pages. With web.com I could not edit my site I had to have them do it and pay a fee. My new site I can go in and change anything I want.

My advice will always be to find a respected local guy and work with him or her.
