I'm in a rut and desperate, I'm thinking of transitioning from Commercial/Residential Electrician too doing shipyard electrical work as there is guaranteed long term employment, there are no jobs in california.
My real question is will the time I put in for my electrical experience hours at a shipyard transition into being able to sit and take the electrical exam for 'General Electrician 8000hr'?
I have already asked The California Electrician board, and the person didnt have a confident answer.
